The Truck Stops Here

After 23 years of unrivaled sales supremacy, FoMoCo's popular but ever-so-gluttonous F-Series truck line has been dethroned. The new US automotive sales king: the aptly named Honda Civic:



According to automotive journalists, the tipping point appears to be the $4-per-gallon threshold gasoline obliterated this summer. Whatever the reason—and I've personally never counted clicks on the odometer or nickels at the pump until this year—this moment of economic, environmental and spacial clarity among American car buyers seems very civic-minded, indeed.

Congratulations, Honda. Now if tuner car kids would only stop turning your stylish fuel sippers into automotive abortions:
