Pontiac invented the muscle car with the '64 GTO, perfected it with Burt Reynolds' Trans-Am and resurrected it with this year's 415 hp G8 GXP. If it weren't for billion-dollar brain farts like the Fiero and the Aztek, GM's once-mighty marque might still be alive. Alas, all mediocre things must come to pass, and GM's "excitement" division is no exception. With Pontiac's demise, The General is now down to four brands: Chevy, Cadillac, Buick and GMC trucks.
